There’s a sacred moment at the end of each Flourish group time together when we pause, lift one another up, and speak words that echo the heart of God. This is our Prayer of Blessing, prayed hundreds of times over dozens of women.
Friends,
I place you into the palm of our Heavenly Father’s hand.
I ask Him to hold you close, to keep you safe,
to encamp His angels around you, to guard you in all your ways.
I ask Him to pour out His love, mercy, and favor on your life.
I bless you in the Name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever, world without end.
Amen.
This prayer is more than comfort—it's a declaration of truth. Each line is steeped in the promises and presence of God, calling us to remember who He is and who we are in Him.
When we say, “I place you into the palm of our Heavenly Father’s hand,” we’re drawing directly from the heart of Isaiah 49:16—“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” You are not only remembered; you are marked permanently by His love. You are held, not loosely, but securely—in the very hands that formed the universe and bore the nails of redemption.
To be held is not weakness. It is the ultimate safety. The same hands that held Peter as he walked on water now steady you. The hands that lifted Jairus’ daughter now raise your hope.
And when we ask God to pour out His love, mercy, and favor, we are asking in alignment with who He has always been. Titus 3:5-6 says, “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy… poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior.” God’s love is not measured in drops—it is lavished. His mercy does not trickle—it floods.
This is the story of Jesus. From the cradle to the cross, and beyond the empty tomb, His life is a river of blessing. At His baptism, the heavens opened and the Father proclaimed, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). He blessed the bread before He broke it. He blessed the children who came to Him. He blessed the brokenhearted, the poor in spirit, the persecuted—and then, on the cross, He became the Blessing for all who would believe (Galatians 3:13-14).
Now, through Him, we live in that blessing. Ephesians 1:3 declares, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” That’s not future tense—it’s now. You are already blessed with identity, purpose, strength, forgiveness, and the Holy Spirit’s presence.
And just as that final line of your prayer echoes across time—“As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever, world without end”—so too does the blessing of God. His story is unbroken, and you are part of it.
Sisters, you are not on the sidelines of this story. You are central to the movement of God’s love in the world. You are called, equipped, and cherished. You are not striving for a blessing—you are living from one.
So today, rest in the hand that holds you.
Receive the mercy and favor that flows freely toward you.
And rise in the blessing that already rests upon you.
